A Light in the Woods

Pre-COVID one of our most frequently asked in-store question was, “Is all this available online?” And while a lot of our inventory is on line, there is still a lot that is not. Take for example one of my favorite items, the solar puff lantern. (But thanks to me it is now online!)

So, what is a solar puff lantern? It is a small origami-inspired solar lantern that is waterproof, portable and can provide up to 12 hours of light perfect for camping (or your emergency preparation kit!) I recently went camping for the first time in over 20 years and I took a solar puff with me. When I arrived at the camp site I just threw the solar light on the table and just let it charge all day. When the sun went down I attached the solar puff to the support bars of my tent and basked in the glory of the warm white light. I liked that it had three different light settings (low, high, & flashing). I also really liked that it had thin Velcro straps that made it easy to attach to just about anything. I would definitely recommend picking one up if you plan to go camping in the near future.
