The JANM Store supports the mission of the Japanese American National Museum by providing books, music, magazines, unique, and exclusive items not widely available to everyone. All proceeds from the JANM Store support Museum programs and exhibitions.

How do I receive my 10% Member discount?
*Active JANM Members can get a 10% discount on eligible items purchased online. At checkout, enter the code: JANM MEMBER
(If the code does not work, email us at museumstore@janm.org with your name, membership number, and expiration date. We will make note of your active membership and send you a link to complete the discounted transaction.)

What if I don’t know my Membership number or expiration date? Don’t worry, Just email us and let us know that you think you are a member and we can email you the status of your membership. Or you can call us at our toll-free number (1.888.769.5559) during business hours and we can look it up for you.

I forgot to enter my Member discount code on my order. How do I still get my discount? Email your order number and Membership number to museumstore@janm.org. Once your membership is verified we will edit your order and apply the discount. By using the discount code it will help us process your order more efficiently and will prevent delays in processing your order.

Can I get my Member discount with my first order? Yes. If you purchase a membership along with your merchandise order, you will receive your discount. Orders will be edited and the subtotal will be adjusted. The discount only applies to discountable items.

What are other ways that I can support the Japanese American National Museum? In addition to membership, you can also support the mission and programs of the National Museum by making a donation or honoring a child with a Children’s Courtyard inscription, both of which can be made online. You can also request that we not apply your member discount to your order
Placing & Receiving Orders

Can I order by phone? Yes. To order by phone, call us toll-free at 1.888.769.5559, Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. PST.

How fast is “Rush” Delivery? For quicker delivery, we offer a RUSH service. RUSH orders are generally shipped via UPS 2-Day and take 2-3 business days for delivery. Orders using the RUSH delivery option that are received by noon PT, Tuesday-Friday will be shipped the same day. Orders received after 12 p.m. PST will be shipped on the next business weekday. Gift packaging may delay RUSH orders by one day. Please note that we are closed on Mondays. RUSH delivery is available within the 50 United States except to PO Boxes and military addresses. Shipping and handling for RUSH delivery to Hawaii or Alaska may be charged an additional $3. (We currently do NOT offer RUSH Delivery)

How is the sales tax calculated? Sales tax will be assessed according to the SHIPPING address, not the BILLING address.

How can I track my order? You will receive an email from us with tracking information once your order has shipped.

What gift-wrapping options do you offer? Gift packaging availability is indicated on selected items. Packaging includes a decorative Museum sticker or band as appropriate.
SHIP TO GIFT RECIPIENT
If you are sending an order to a gift recipient, please enter their name and address in the "ship to" fields. Enter your information in the "bill to" fields. To conserve paper gift receipts will no longer be mailed to the Billie unless requested. The order will be sent to the gift recipient. Price tags will be removed from the merchandise.
GIFT MESSAGES
Upon request, we can enclose a gift message. Please keep the gift message brief. Gift messages may not exceed 3 lines. To include a gift message, please enter your message under "special instructions" in your shopping cart when prompted before completing the order.

How can I keep up to date with additions and changes to the JANM Store Online? The Museum Store has a monthly e-newsletter to keep our customers updated on special offers and sales.
