Product Description
From our neighbors, The Little Tokyo Community Council (LTCC), the Toyo Miyatake enamel pin features Toyo Miyatake's camera, inspired by the bronze sculpture by artist Nobuho Nagasawa, that stands just outside of JANM. Made in 1993, it is an outsized replica of an actual camera that belonged to the Japanese American photographer. Toyo Miyatake Studio was founded in 1923 by Toyo Miyatake in Little Tokyo. Three generations later, Toyo Miyatake is still family-owned & operated. Archie and Alan Miyatake moved the studio to the present location in San Gabriel where the studio serves Southern California. 1-1/4"H.
LTCC brings together a broad range of Little Tokyo stakeholders to speak with one voice to protect, preserve, and promote our historic community. LTCC advocates on behalf of the Little Tokyo community, and provides the opportunity for the community to speak effectively with one voice for the best interests and betterment of Little Tokyo.
