Shipping and Handling

Due to the current strains on shipping, please allow an additional 3-7 business days for STANDARD delivery. RUSH delivery will be temporarily unavailable.

STANDARD DELIVERY 

Standard deliveries within the continental U.S. are sent via UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail from Los Angeles, California. Delivery time varies depending on location and product availability but generally takes from 3-10 business days. You will be advised of a delay in shipping that exceeds 30 days. 

SIGNATURE REQUIRED 

Orders over $150 that contain, Jewelry, Fine art prints, or other high-value items will require a signature for delivery. All orders with a value greater than $300 will require a signature for delivery. 

RUSH DELIVERY (Temporarily unavailable.)

 For quicker delivery, we offer a RUSH service. RUSH orders are generally shipped via UPS 2-Day and take 2 business days for delivery. Orders using the RUSH delivery option that are received by noon PT, Tuesday-Friday will be shipped the same day. Orders received after 12:00 pm will be shipped on the next business weekday. If gift wrapping has been selected for any item, shipping may be delayed by up to one day. Please note that we are closed on Mondays. RUSH delivery is available within the 50 United States, but it is not available to PO Boxes and military addresses. Shipping and handling for RUSH delivery to Hawaii or Alaska may be charged an additional $20.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

 Currently, we ship orders to a limited number of countries outside the United States (see list below.) Orders shipped to these countries are shipped via the United States Postal Service. Priority Mail and First Class Mail options are offered but are limited to postal regulations. Items that are restricted or otherwise not permitted in regular Priority Mail or First Class parcels may be deleted from your order, and your purchase total will be adjusted accordingly. Priority Mail takes 2-3 weeks for delivery. First Class Mail may take longer and is not insured. If First Class Mail is selected, the Japanese American National Museum is not responsible for loss, damages, or any other problems that are transit-related. The recipient is responsible for any import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. To comply with export compliance, all recipient names and addresses must be in Roman letters/Arabic Numerals. Shipping prices are subject to change without notice.

If you would like merchandise sent to a country not listed above. Please contact us at museumstore@janm.org. Please provide your Name, Billing/shipping address, and a list of items that you would like to order. We can then provide you with an accurate price quote.  Please note that all customs taxes and fees are the responsibility of the customer and are NOT included in the price quoted.  

We are no longer shipping orders to Consolidation warehouses aka shipping warehouses. Orders being shipped to Shipping warehouses will be canceled and a refund will be issued.
