Funded in large part by the National Parks Service, Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program, this book is a collaboration of the New Mexico Japanese American community, the survivors of confinement, and various scholars, to bring together the history and narratives of people of Japanese descent who lived in New Mexico during WWII. Through historical photos, documents and essays, it chronicles the experiences at four confinement sites in the Land of Enchantment, located at Santa Fe, Lordsburg, Fort Stanton, and Baca Camp (Old Raton Ranch).
