The emblem on this mug is a reimagined version of the official “Go For Broke” logo designed by Technical Sergeant Mitchie M. Miyamoto when he was serving in the 442nd during WWII. Hapa tattoo artist Colin Baker created this retro-style design for the 2014 exhibition Perseverance: Japanese Tattoo Tradition in a Modern World. Japanese American soldiers didn't typically get tattoos during WWII since tattoo culture was not widely accepted in the JA community, but if they did, this might have been a popular design! This 11 oz. mug is dishwasher and microwave safe.
