The “Go For Broke” patch is the official emblem for the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. It was designed by Technical Sergeant Mitchie M. Miyamoto after an original patch issued by the War Department was rejected by the men of the 442nd.
The “Go For Broke” patch symbolizes freedom and liberty and was proudly worn by over 18,000 Japanese American soldiers during World War II. This is an embroidered replica of a patch in the Japanese American National Museum’s permanent collection. 2.75" H
