Buddhahead Trilogy

Item # 157857.

By Nick Nagatani.

This fictional story of a Japanese American family spans three generations, starting with the Issei migration in the late eighteen hundreds. It includes the concentration camp experience, post war Nisei community rebuilding task, and concludes with the Sansei generation's search for identity, and commitment towards social justice and progressive change. Buddhahead Trilogy is not a tale of "fitting in" to achieve "model minority" status; rather, it is an attempt to personalize and humanize the struggles, strengths, fears, and resistance, of ethnic, people of color in America. Paper: 230 pp.
