Mark is sick in bed with a fever on a beautiful sunny day. He just received a letter and a small package from his Uncle Scott who took him fly-fishing last summer. He had caught one fish, but it got away. He couldn't wait to go out again with his uncle. When he opens the little box from Uncle Scott, he is startled when a cloud of mayflies bursts out and escapes through his bedroom window. Suddenly he sees that the city scape has been replaced by a forest with a river flowing through it. What follows is a magical journey on a river with Uncle Scott.
