Looking for something to fidget with and stimulate your mind? Shashibo is a shape shifting box that transforms into over 70 shapes. Plus, with its strong magnet system you can combine several cubes to build even larger shapes, sculptures, and structures. Andreas Hoenigschmid, inspired by his love of design, geometry, and sand art, wanted to create a magnetic puzzle toy that would be accessible to people of all ages and walks of life, even those vision-impaired.
We were attracted by the Japanese-sounding name (which isn’t Japanese at all!) but once we saw this object it reminded us of an origami and kumiki puzzle mash-up. We’ve selected two patterns that echoed Japanese design.
