This stunning fine art coffee table book contains images and commentary dedicated to the history and memory of the people of Japanese heritage who were imprisoned at Manzanar during World War II. Printed on Japanese 157 gsm NPI matte art paper with a soft-touch softcover, it features 168 hauntingly beautiful duotone photographs and 26 full-color images made over 40 years of what remains of Manzanar at various stages of barrenness and restoration. The book also includes a 3-page fold-out timeline of Manzanar, aligned with other significant world events. Includes a moving foreword by Michael Adams, the son of renowned photographer Ansel Adams.
