An East to West inspiration creates a true Japanese American hybrid! These sashiko (traditional Japanese quilting technique) kit patterns are inspired by designs on ancient Mimbres pottery. The word Mimbres means “willows” in Spanish and is the name given to a cottonwood and willow-lined rivers in southwestern New Mexico. The designs are pre-printed on 14" x 14" Kona cotton. The finished quilt block is 12" x 12". Comes with needles and sashiko thread. Finished blocks can be combined into quilts, pillows, or clothing. Available designs Rabbit, Tortoise, Fish, and Blooms.
