Hokusai Faces Lenticular Postcard

Item # 070387.

The collection of sketches known as Hokusai's Manga (not to be confused with contemporary manga) is literally a catalog of everything the artist had ever seen. They were at one time been used as a catalog to teach drawing. These sketches show Hokusai's insatiable curiosity of the antics of his fellow man!

Before GIFs there were lenticulars, little moving pictures that fit in your pocket!  Three images (sometimes more) are printed in alternating lines which are then viewed through a special prismatic lens which is laid over the image.  Depending on the angle you view the image you see a different picture. When parts of the picture changes  it gives a sense of movement. 4-1/8" x 5-7/8".
