The Museum Store is pleased to carry NUNO textiles in our ongoing effort to bring you the best of Japanese and Japanese American contemporary design products. Since 1984 NUNO, Japan has created innovative textiles combining traditional aesthetics and textile arts with the latest computer and synthetics technologies. Their innovative product line is just a year older than the Museum. And like the Museum, NUNO combines the best of past and present.
Designed by Reiko Sudo for Nuno, the architectural lines of this unique bag are made by a signature process that creates shape-retaining folded polyester fabric. After being opened out, the cloth springs back to its original folded shape.
