In November 2004, the National Museum co-sponsored and served as the site for the symposium, Judgments Judged and Wrongs Remembered: Examining the Japanese American Civil Liberties of World War II on Their Sixtieth Anniversary. The symposium was spearheaded by Professor Eric Muller of the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The symposium proceedings have been published by Duke University in an issue of the periodical “Law & Contemporary Problems” which have been made available for sale in the Museum Store through the efforts of Professor Muller. The book is dedicated to the memory of Fred Korematsu.
