An alumnus of Otis Art College, Brooks College & UC Santa Barbara, Hamada lived, worked, and exhibited her art in Australia, but is now based in her home town of Los Angeles. She worked several years for the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs as well as the Pacific Asia Museum. She has served on the board of the Arroyo Arts Collective since 2000 and operated the Acorn Gallery. Her mixed media works are influenced by artists such as Betye Saar, Alexis Smith and Joseph Cornell.
