Keep It Going...Pass It On: Poetry Inspired by the Manzanar Pilgrimage
Item No.: 150809

gift wrap?:

Published by The Manzanar Committee. Edited by Jennifer “Emiko” Kuida, Martha Nakagawa, and Sharon Yamato.

from the back cover:

From the first pilgrimage in 1969 to Manzanar, the site of one of 10 camps that held more than 120,000 Japanese Americans during WWII – to the Manzanar After Dark (MAD-ness!) program added to the annual pilgrimage in 1997 – here is a compilation of poetry written for and about camp.

Whether scribbled on scraps of paper or spoken aloud, these words are collected with one thought in mind – to use the remembrances of those who survived the injustices of the camp experience to remind present and future generations to keep it going and pass it on?

B/w photos. Paper: 47 pp.
