Hanafuda: The Flower Card Game
Item No.: 150518

gift wrap?:

Compiled by Japan Publications.

Hanafuda (literally “flower cards”) are Japanese playing cards printed on stiff pasteboard, 2-1/2 inches by 1 inch. Viewed as “typically” Japanese, it is thought they were actually introduced by the Spanish in the 1500s.

Graphically beautiful, the cards are divided into suites representing the months of the year. Each has its appropriate flower in major and minor cards. Just as with Western cards, a variety of games can be played with the cards. This book teaches you many of these games as well as playing etiquette.

Paper: 94 pp.
